A root cause for generational poverty is a poor education – our most at-risk children fall victim to inequitable educational opportunities. Low school achievement, then, is an adult problem to be solved. 

We believe that all children, regardless of how they look, where they come from, or how they learn, can and will achieve school success when provided with highly effective teachers and positive, supportive learning environments.

When the capacity of educators is maximized, the outcome will be a first-class education that will allow our most vulnerable children to break the cycle of poverty and experience an equal opportunity to live healthy, productive lives. CDL’s evidence-based professional development services contribute toward increased student achievement.

Your donation will support CDL's professional development that will benefit teachers and children in a New Orleans charter school. Services will include coaching and mentoring in the classroom, study group facilitation and customized learning sessions.
