Vice President of Program Development

Primary Location: Baton Rouge/Metairie, Louisiana |
Position Type: Full Time, Exempt Summary Reporting to the President, the Vice President (VP) of Program Development serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic, program decisions affecting The Center for Literacy & Learning (The Center) In partnership with the President, this position provides leadership for all program development, delivery, and evaluation. The VP of Program Development will help forge new relationships to build The Center’s visibility, impact, and financial resources while strengthening current relationships. The position will be a part of the senior management team that drives the overall strategy for the organization and represents The Center on a local, regional, and national basis. In partnership with the President, this position provides leadership for all programs including program development, delivery, and evaluation, as well as fundraising, budget setting, knowledge management, and all external relationship management. The VP of Program Development will also design and implement a comprehensive plan for delivering key programming that promotes inclusion and diversity among staff, stakeholders, and those we ultimately serve. |
Director of Advancement
Reports to: VP of External Affairs |
Primary Location: Baton Rouge/Metairie, Louisiana |
Position Type: Full Time, Exempt Summary Reporting to the Vice President (VP) of External Relations, the Director of Advancement provides leadership, planning, and support with all fund development opportunities, collaborations and partnership initiatives. In partnership with the VP of External Relations, the Director of Advancement is responsible for all fundraising and development activities to include marketing and communications under their leadership. The Director of Advancement will lead implementation of a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating individual and philanthropic support, overseeing revenue-generating programs, funding initiatives, and growing partnerships throughout The Center’s service areas. |

Position Type: Full Time, Exempt Summary Reporting to the Director of Professional Learning, the Literacy & Learning Specialist, Early Childhood (EC) serves as a key team member and an active participant in delivering robust, expert-level professional development programs. The Literacy & Learning Specialist, EC is essential to maintaining new and existing relationships forged with schools and school districts to increase visibility and impact, while strengthening The Center’s core mission. The Literacy & Learning Specialist, EC is a well-versed expert, instructional leader, and practitioner who provides leadership, strategic planning, and program development for The Center. |
Literacy & Learning Specialist, Independent Consultant
Reports to: Director of Professional Learning |

Position Type: Part Time Summary The Literacy & Learning Specialist, Independent (1099) Consultant is a well-versed expert, instructional leader, and practitioner who provides literacy leadership on behalf of The Center for Literacy & Learning. Reporting to the Director of Professional Learning, the Literacy & Learning Specialist, Independent Consultant serves as an active participant in delivering robust, expert-level professional development and coaching. This position is essential to maintaining new and existing relationships forged with schools and school districts by providing virtual and onsite support for literacy leaders, aligned with The Center’s core mission. |
