All children can achieve school success when provided with highly effective teachers and supportive learning environments, no matter what level they are on or how they learn.
1Low student achievement is an adult problem, not a student problem.
New Orleans still has much work to do, and every minute counts because every child counts. In spite of good intent, too many of our city’s most at-risk children continue to be instructional casualties.
2CDL’s services provide a crucial part of the solution.
CDL is a Louisiana-based nonprofit organization that provides practical knowledge and strategies devised and delivered by teachers to assist in those critical classroom moments when teachers are faced with the reality of failing students. This is a crucial missing link in our city’s education renaissance.
We tackle real-time issues such as how to remediate struggling learners and ways to differentiate instruction for diverse learners in the classroom. Working side-by-side with both new and experienced teachers, CDL professionals provide coaching and modeling in the classroom, as well as customized, interactive learning sessions.
CDL educates the educators.
We need your help.
A contribution to our annual Educate the Educators Fund will allow CDL to work in more schools, support more teachers, and save more children in New Orleans.
Time is ticking, and the children can’t wait.
